June 2024<\/strong> – Great dinner meeting this week at O’Gannigans! We were pleased to have as our guest speaker, Brenda DiCarlo, Program Coordinator for Calvert County Parks and Recreation’s new Youth Mentoring Program<\/strong>. Ms. DiCarlo shared information and answered questions about their first-ever Youth Mentoring Program made possible through a grant provided by the National Recreation and Parks Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Youth Mentor Program will focus on a different life skill or subject applicable to all children in the 10 to 13 age group through fun and interactive activities in a group setting. Mentors and mentees will meet for two hours, once per week on a weeknight in the Northern, Central, and Southern regions of Calvert County. We’ll also host a fun, monthly family event where you can chat with our staff and mentors about your child’s progress. Thank you, Brenda, for joining us!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
